Danube Region Transport Days 2025
“Road & Rail – Working Together for a Better Connected Danube Region”
9–10 December 2025 • Ljubljana, Slovenia
Venue: Best Western Premier Hotel Slon
The Danube Region Transport Days 2025, the Ninth Annual Stakeholders’ Conference under the EU Strategy for the Danube Region (EUSDR), will gather leading experts, policymakers, operators, and stakeholders from across the macro-region. Hosted under Priority Area 1b – Mobility & Multimodality (Rail, Road and Air), the 2025 edition highlights how road and rail can work together to create a more resilient, sustainable, and better-connected Danube Region.
This year’s theme — “Road & Rail: Working Together for a Better Connected Danube Region” — underscores the crucial complementarity between transport modes and the importance of cooperation, integration, and coordinated investment.
Why This Conference?
A well-functioning transport system relies on cooperation rather than competition among modes. The conference explores how interoperability, multimodality, digital transformation, and strategic corridor development can support economic growth and cohesion in the Danube Region. Participants will engage in discussions on the future of multimodal logistics, modernisation of infrastructure, and smart transport solutions. The conference will bring together high-level representatives from the European Commission, the EUSDR Presidency, line ministries from Slovenia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Hungary and Croatia, international organisations such as DG REGIO, the Transport Community, UNECE and CER, as well as infrastructure managers, operators, industry associations, and academic institutions.
