Constant need for development of transport infrastructure, impact of climate change and 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development emphasized the need to create more sustainable, safe and resilient transport system.
In this workshop UN ECE and the EUSDR Priority Area 1b joined forces to strengthen the knowledge on transport-related SDG, in particular SDG 9 – building resilient infrastructure.
The aim of the Workshop was to increase awareness and to strengthen the knowledge on SDGs, and in particular to get insight how to better plan, build and maintain resilient infrastructure. A key aspect of the workshop was the exchange of information and experiences of the participants in relation to building the resilient road and rail infrastructure in the Danube region.
