Under the auspices of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Presidency of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region (EUSDR), the EUSDR Priority Area 1b Coordinators, in cooperation with the Transport Community Permanent Secretariat, are organizing a high-level event focused on the future of railway connectivity and resilience in the Danube Region. The event will take place in Sarajevo on 4-5 June 2025.
The gathering will bring together key decision-makers, transport experts, and stakeholders to discuss pressing issues related to railway infrastructure, interoperability, and climate resilience. Through expert discussions and interactive sessions, participants will have the opportunity to exchange knowledge, foster cross-border cooperation, and define key priorities for sustainable railway development in the region.

The two-day event will begin with a Networking Dinner on 4 June 2025, providing an opportunity for informal discussions among participants.

Closing Panel Discussion – Defining the next steps to enhance connectivity, interoperability, and resilience in the region’s railway network.
Participants will also have the opportunity to engage in discussions during networking breaks and a working lunch.
This event represents a crucial step in strengthening railway cooperation within the Danube Region, ensuring the modernization and sustainability of railway networks in line with European transport and environmental goals.
